The Land Before Time

A poster painting I did for the Amblin' Along Gallery show this past month at the Gladstone Hotel.

Roadside in St. Lucia

We saw a lot of these roadside in St. Lucia.

Most were painted in the brand colors of the drink being sold, usually either Coke or Piton Beer. 

"Live Positively" is the brand slogan, the merchant added the "No Credit" sign. 

Not sure if they intended the extra meaning of staying financially positive by avoiding debt but I thought it was clever. 

Merry Christmas!

Made a couple of Christmas cards for sale at work with the proceeds all going to charity. It's a bit rough since it's freehand but I like the feel.

Taking hold and climbing up is a pretty universal thing to do.

 It's something that can bring us all together.

Other suggested titles were Family Tree, Tree of Life, World Tree, and even Christmas Tree - but that was a bit too meta.

If you've ever seen the awesome show Freaks and Geeks, I had Sam's size and Bill's nerdiness.

I met the girl of my dreams in college, so I'm actually glad nothing worked out before then.
No disrespect to them but I like to think all the girls I was ever interested in were just foreshadowing my future wife.

(This isn't just cheese, anyone who's ever met my wife knows she's out of my league. Random strangers have actually even said that out loud!)

Happy Thanksgiving

A month late compared to us up here but Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends south of the border! And please don't call it Brown Thursday... there are already plenty of days to shop. Setting aside time to focus on being grateful and giving thanks will enrich your life more than any deal at a store. And on that note, a great big thanks to you all for your support and encouragement in my pursuit of art. Hope you keep liking what you see.
